Vision & Values

Below are 10 values that bring clarity to what matters to us. They are woven into everything we do, influencing major decisions, and guiding how we fulfil our mission.

The word ‘together’ appears three times in Acts 2:42-47. 'All the believers were together… they continued to meet together… they broke bread in their homes and ate together…' This is the key to everything we do at Lewsey Pentecostal Church. Together in Christ!

God loves people unconditionally. We are to love one another in like manner. (Deut. 7:9; 1 John 4:7-8)

We believe in prayer, corporately and individually. It is a tremendous privilege, as well as a great responsibility, to pray. (Jer. 33:3; 1 Thess. 5:17; 1 Tim. 2:1-3)

We believe in the value of every soul. Whatever your background or life experience, you matter to God - and us. (Luke 5:30-32; Matt. 18:14)

We respond to human needs by loving service, embracing the Biblical imperative of James 2:14-18 to reach out to the homeless, and the destitute, and feeding the hungry.

When God blesses us with resources, material or financial, we have a responsibility to manage them with great care and wisdom. (1 Cor. 4:2)

We actively and intentionally seek opportunities to engage unbelievers with the Gospel in obedience to Jesus' command to go into all the world and preach to every creature. (Matt. 24:14; Mark 16:15)

We believe that men and women are created equal in the image of God. Through faith in Jesus we all become children of God, regardless of gender distinctions. (Gen. 1:26-28; Gal. 3:26-28)

We accept people from a wide range of cultural, socio-economic, and denominational backgrounds (Gal. 3:26-28).

We believe that excellence honours God. Therefore, it is something that we strive to achieve both in church and in our individual lives. (Ecc. 9:10; Phil. 1:9-10)
